Two Republican state Board of Elections members resigned in September over what they claimed was "bullying and deceitful tactics" from other board members staffers, governor and the state attorney general — all Democrats.

Land use law heads to North Carolina governor

A Conforming Amends and Land Use Changes bill was sent to Gov. Roy Cooper in June for his signature, which would preserve legislation passed last year to allow the North Carolina Home Builders Associations to implement changes to local land planning and laws, the North Carolina Home Builders Association said in a recent news release.

Transportation department facing furloughs after budget shortfall, claims of mismanagement
