Congressman Pat Harrigan, known for his active engagement on social media, recently shared a series of tweets covering various topics. His posts included direct communication with a notable public figure, information on an ongoing art competition for high school students, and a critical concern regarding national defense.

On April 14, 2025, Congressman Harrigan tagged a prominent national figure by sharing a post on Twitter. The tweet simply referenced the handle @VP with a link @VP https://t.co/0Qx2OdEZV5.

Later on the same day, at 15:45, Harrigan turned his attention to the youth in his district, reminding them about an impending art competition. He wrote, "Reminder for #NC10 high school students: The 2025 Congressional Art Competition deadline is coming up on April 23. This is a national competition where one student’s artwork from each district is selected to hang in the U.S. Capitol for a full year!" emphasizing the opportunity for students in his congressional district to have their art displayed in a prestigious location.

Later that evening at 21:01, Harrigan addressed a more serious issue regarding national defense. Citing a statement from a high-level defense official, he expressed concern over the military capabilities of a foreign power. He stated, "China could sink the entire U.S. carrier fleet in 20 minutes. That's not a headline from the future, it’s a real-time warning from our own @SecDef. While Washington stalled, Beijing armed itself with hypersonic missiles built to cripple our military before we can even".

According to military experts, China’s growing missile capabilities pose a significant threat to U.S. naval forces, highlighting joint efforts needed within the administration to counteract potential military deficiencies.
