John Bostwick Interim Chief Financial Officer | Frye Regional Medical Center
Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, North Carolina, has been recognized for its innovative use of technology to enhance patient care. The medical center received the Innovation Award from Lifepoint Health during an annual ceremony held in Nashville, Tennessee, on February 11.
The award acknowledges Frye Regional's efforts to improve hospital operations and patient care through technological advancements. Notable initiatives include adopting a new operating room schedule optimization system that has improved patient flow and staffing efficiency. Additionally, the hospital launched Cadence, a remote monitoring service for heart failure patients that has increased patient satisfaction and quality measures.
Frye Regional also serves as an alpha site for Kouper, a follow-up technology for discharged ER patients, and as a pilot site for Telesitting, a virtual care platform aimed at enhancing patient safety.
