City of Hickory issued the following announcement on Sept. 19.

Wednesday Night: A free Youth International Film Festival event with films from around the world meant for a younger audience and their families at the Hickory Community Theatre!
Thursday Night: The Screenwriting Competition awards night at the Belk Centrum at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Friday Night: Our "Short Film Showcase" and reception, followed by the "Night Gallery" selection of short films.
Friday through Sunday: Feature film and short films shown throughout the weekend, with the filmmakers for many of the films joining for a discussion afterwards.
You can purchase tickets for individual films or you can purchase a Festival Pass that will give you a ticket to each film screening and event!
The 2022 film festival is a combination in-person and online event. Attendees can choose to attend select screenings in person or watch the films online the day after their premieres.
