County of Caldwell issued the following announcement on Jul. 21.
County officials will hold a ground breaking ceremony for the new animal shelter on Thursday, July 22, at 10 a.m. The site is located next to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department, 2351 SW Morganton Boulevard, Lenoir.
The rain date for the event is Friday, July 23. The public is invited to attend.
