Washington - Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10) released the following statement on the House passage of H.R. 2670, the National Defense Authorization Act of 2024. This legislation focuses on increased support for servicemembers and their families, strengthening our military to counter the Chinese Communist Party, and providing stringent oversight of taxpayer dollars spent by the Pentagon.
“The National Defense Authorization Act fulfills our responsibility to provide for our national security and military families, enacting a well-deserved pay raise for our service members and better access to healthcare and housing. This legislation will also remove this administration’s politics from our military, instead focusing on our defense to counter Chinese Communist Party aggression. At a time of heightened tensions, our military must be fully prepared to defend our nation.”
