Cunty of Burke issued the following announcement on Jul. 23.
On Monday July 26th, Burke County will be replacing HVAC units at the Burke County Services Building at 110 N Green Street in Morganton. The Burke County Services Building houses the GIS, Environmental Health, Community Development, and Tax Departments. To accomplish this project, the contractor will be using a crane to set rooftop air conditioning units. The crane will be staged in the main parking area for the building.
Parking and building access will be limited from 7am until approximately 2pm. Burke County staff will be onsite to assist the public with access to the building during this time. Please obey all signage and follow all instructions from Burke County Staff. We thank everyone in advance for your cooperation.
