Rep. Jay Adams (R-Catawba) is endorsing former Republican state lawmaker John Bradford to represent District 98 in the North Carolina House.
"An absolutely remarkable candidate, one of the hardest working people I have had the pleasure to serve with," Adams said in a Facebook post on Aug. 14. "I endorse him with complete confidence that his performance will be exemplary!"
Bradford was recently named a "Jobs Champion" by the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the Elect Bradford Facebook page said. His campaign Facebook page said that he has created 75 jobs in the community from the two businesses that he founded.
"Small business owners, just like John, are the backbone of our local and state economy," the Elect Bradford Facebook page said.
Bradford is a proponent of common-sense legislation and policies, the post said. As a small business owner, he is a critical part of the local and state economies.
Bradford served in the House from 2015 to 2018.
District 98 covers Mecklenburg County. The seat is held by Democrat Rep. Cristy Clark.
