Hickory-based Transportation Insight is sponsoring a new youth workforce development program between the Carolina Panthers and The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of North and South Carolina that will provide career experiences, including positions related to NFL games at the Bank of America Stadium.
"Underwriting this partnership was the right thing to do because the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of North and South Carolina helps so many underserved kids and their families in so many ways," Transportation Insight Founder and Chairman Paul Thompson said in the news release on June 11 about the partnership. "This is going to bring so much more attention to the valuable work that the Boys & Girls Clubs do, and the workforce development program has a wide scope to reach so many young people. I look forward to watching the program unfold over the next few years."
According to the supply chain management company's June 11 news release, Transportation Insight will become a partner in the Carolina Panthers Kids Club and other activities of the NFL. One of the aspects of the program will include the kids getting a preseason tour of Bank of America Stadium as they learn about everything from the box office to sports medicine.
"Our strategic partnership platforms will help highlight the important work that the Boys & Girls Clubs do throughout the Carolinas," Vice President of Corporate Development for Tepper Sports & Entertainment Paul McGoohan said in the news release.
