Former Maiden High School star Macy Michael helped lead the UNC Greensboro Spartans to an 8-1 victory over the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in an NCAA Division I softball game held Wednesday, March 18, at 5 p.m.
The matchup was played at UNCG Softball Stadium. This contest marked the Spartans’ first meeting with the Golden Eagles this season.
Michael achieved one hit in three plate appearances and tallied one run batted in for her team.
The Spartans are scheduled to play next on Saturday, March 21, at 1 p.m. at Betty Basler Field against the East Tennessee State Buccaneers.
