Town of Maiden Fire Department issued the following announcement on Mar. 3.
Maiden Fire Department will begin hydrant maintenance this week. This process will take several weeks to complete.
During the testing, some customers may experience water discoloration. If you experience this run cold water for about 5 minutes- this should clean up the water.
Testing will be conducted between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm Monday-Friday.
Please use caution if you see crews in the area.
If you have a fire hydrant on your property, please allow 3 feet of clearance around the hydrant. Please remove any bushes, trees, flowers, and any other obstructions within 3 feet. This allows the fire department to easily access the hydrant for maintenance, and during emergency situations. Thank you for your cooperation.
