Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10) has unveiled the submission deadlines for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition, a nationwide event that has attracted over 650,000 high school students since its inception in 1982. Speaking about the competition, McHenry expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "I always look forward to the Congressional Art Competition and seeing the creativity and skill of Tenth District students. It is an honor to recognize these talented art students, and I am excited to see some terrific entries during the final competition of my tenure."

The winner of the Tenth District's Congressional Art Competition will have their artwork displayed prominently in the U.S. Capitol alongside winning pieces from other Congressional districts. All submissions will be evaluated by a panel, with one standout entry being chosen. The deadline for submitting artwork is Friday, May 3rd, 2024. Entries must be delivered to one of Congressman McHenry's district offices before the May 3rd deadline.

Artwork submissions can be made at either the Hickory District Office located at 1990 Main Ave. SE, Hickory, NC 28602, open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, or the Mooresville District Office in the Iredell County Government Center South, 2nd Floor, 610 East Center Avenue, Mooresville, NC 28115, open on Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Following the reception of all artwork entries, submissions will be showcased on Congressman McHenry's Facebook page, allowing the public to view the pieces and support their favorites. The Congressional Art Competition is privately funded with the backing of the Congressional Institute. Detailed contest rules and further information can be accessed by clicking here.
