City of Hickory issued the following announcement on Apr. 18.
Twice a year, local repeat offenders are notified to report to Hickory City Hall for a "Call-in" event. During the "Call-in," offenders are informed that they are being monitored as part of their probation, and that they have earned attention from local law enforcement and prosecutors. They are also told that there is a chance they can turn their lives around and given the resources to do so, including jobs.
Come be part of this event and remind those in attendance that we are a community and we do care.
