Town of Valdese issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.
1.Home must be in Town of Valdese town limits.
2. Applications must be received no later than December 6.
3. Home will be judged the week of December 8-10, after dark. There is no need to be present during judging-just be sure all of your decorations are up by the time the sun goes down!
4. Any home with offensive or inappropriate decorations will be disqualified.
5. Decorations should be visible from the sidewalk. The contest is not designed for people to come into your yard or house.
6. Winners will be announced on December 13 on the Town of Valdese Facebook page, don’t worry- we will also contact you privately!
7. Photos of winning houses will be posted on the Town of Valdese Facebook page. [we won’t post your addresses or encourage others to visit your home].
Prizes include:
1st place: $100
2nd place: $50
3rd place: $25
