County of Burke issued the following announcement on Oct. 3.
Please be advised that the event being advertised in this flyer is a scam. The scammer is requesting money for small business owners, artists, etc. to set up a booth at this “festival”, which is not actually scheduled at Lake James at all. Do not engage with the scammer in any way.
