County of Burke issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.
Applications are being accepted for the Burke County Planning Board for citizens residing in the Eastern Townships of Burke County. The Planning Board serves a key role in shaping the future development of the county as it reviews subdivisions, assists in area plans, and makes land use decisions which are forwarded to the Board of Commissioners. The Planning Board meets on the 4th Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m. The term is for three (3) years.
