Town of Maiden issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.
North Carolina Fire Prevention week begins October 3rd and ends October 9th. Due to the schedules within the local schools Maiden Fire Department conducts fire prevention throughout the entire month of October to accommodate all schools within Maiden.
