CITY OF MORGANTON: Drive Thru Christmas Parade to be Held December 1

Sclau

City of Morganton recently issued the following announcement.

Drive Thru Christmas Parade

When: Tuesday, 1 December, 6PM – 8PM

Where: Bouchelle Street in Downtown Morganton

Description:

Tuesday, December 1, 2020

Please join the Morganton Downtown Development Association as they present the Downtown Morganton Drive Thru Christmas Parade from 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, December 1st!! In order to provide a safe environment for parade attendees and participants, this year’s parade will be a drive thru event. The Drive Thru Parade means that decorated floats will remain stationary as spectators drive thru. By producing a drive thru parade as opposed to a traditional mobile parade, mass gatherings/crowds will be eliminated while still providing a fun holiday tradition.

Parade attendees driving thru will turn on Bouchelle Street from Sanford drive. The parade will start just past the Fairfield Inn & Suites at the intersection Patterson Street and Bouchelle Street and will end at the intersection of Concord Street and Bouchelle Street. This event is open to vehicles only; no walkers allowed through the parade area.

Interested in being a part of the parade? Click Here for the 2020 Drive Thru Christmas Parade Application Applications are due by November 17th. Spaces are limited!

Media coverage for your business or nonprofit is provided by CoMPAS X-Stream's live broadcast of the Parade which is repeatedly aired throughout the holiday season! Tune into channel 96.5 WSVM during the parade to hear holiday tunes and announcements throughout the evening. Float descriptions will also be available online prior to the drive thru parade and will remain online throughout the holiday season.

The Deadline for the Morganton Christmas Parade is Tuesday, November 17th. Spaces are very limited and could sell out before the November 17th deadline. Please call 828-438-5280 or email info@downtownmorganton.com for more information.
