Town of Long View issued the following announcement on Apr. 1.
Twenty Pinwheels were purchased from the Children's Advocacy and Protection Center of Catawba County and are on display out in front of Long View Town Hall because April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Pinwheel is used nationwide to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect prevention. The Pinwheel was chosen to represent hope and promise.
