Congressman Pat Harrigan has recently highlighted developments in American industry, space exploration, and military service through a series of posts on his official social media account.

On January 29, 2026, Harrigan noted the resurgence of U.S. steel production compared to Japan for the first time in over two decades. He stated, “For the first time since 1999, the U.S. is producing more steel than Japan. That’s mills running, people working, and America actually making the stuff it relies on again. We don’t need to romanticize it, but we should be clear-eyed about it: a country that can’t make steel” (January 29, 2026).

Later that day, Harrigan addressed advancements in space missions as a member of the House Science Committee. He wrote, “Artemis II will be the first crewed mission back to the Moon since 1972, flying a 10-day circumlunar mission to test the Space Launch System and Orion before future landings. As a member of @housescience, this is exactly the kind of work we oversee, from mission safety and” (January 29, 2026).

In another post on January 29, Harrigan discussed his recent interaction with military personnel preparing for deployment. He shared, “Spoke with the soldiers of the 1-120th this week as they deploy for Operation Spartan Shield with the @NCNationalGuard. Grateful for their service and wishing them a safe deployment.” (January 29, 2026).

Pat Harrigan was elected to Congress in 2024 after defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr., securing approximately 57.5% of the vote.
