Congressman Pat Harrigan, who represents North Carolina’s 10th district, has recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative changes affecting his constituents and raise concerns about national security issues.
On April 14, 2026, Harrigan posted about the impact of tax policy on workers in his district: “From sheriff’s deputies, factory workers, nurses, and first responders, the hardworking people of #NC10 are the backbone of this country. This Tax Day, thanks to @HouseGOP and no tax on overtime, they get to keep more of what they earned.”
Later that day, he addressed concerns over foreign influence in American research institutions. In a tweet dated April 14, 2026, Harrigan stated: “This keeps happening because we’ve let it happen. CCP-linked researchers have been exploiting our visa system to infiltrate American universities and walk out with our research, our technology, and in some cases biological agents that have no business being on U.S. soil.”
On April 15, 2026, Harrigan shared news of receiving an award from a defense-related organization: “Honored to accept the Sentinel Award from @wprc1! American warfighters deserve American-made gear, and the companies producing it are just as vital to our national security as the soldiers wearing it.”
Harrigan was elected to Congress in 2024 after defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr., securing approximately 57.5% of the vote compared to Scott’s 38.2%.
