Congressman Pat Harrigan, who represents North Carolina’s 10th district and won his seat in the 2024 general election, recently shared updates on legislative developments, public safety concerns, and internship opportunities through a series of posts on social media.

On February 4, 2026, Harrigan highlighted recent legislative progress in space policy. He wrote, “Big day in @housescience! The NASA Reauthorization Act passed, which means we’re going back to the Moon, heading to Mars, and handing low-Earth orbit over to American companies while NASA pushes the final frontier. America leads in space or we don’t lead at all.”

The following day, February 5, 2026, Harrigan addressed a tragic incident involving commercial trucking. He stated, “This is heartbreaking. Four men are gone because someone who never should’ve been operating a commercial truck was allowed to do it anyway. It’s why I introduced my SAFE Drivers Act, because we have federal safety rules on the books that aren’t being enforced, and people keep”.

On February 6, 2026, Harrigan announced opportunities for students interested in government service: “Our Summer 2026 paid internship applications are now open! Join our Washington, DC office representing North Carolina’s 10th district, where you’ll dive into the legislative process, connect with constituents, and experience the inner workings of Capitol Hill. Apply on our”.

Harrigan secured his position as U.S. Representative after defeating Ralph R. Scott Jr. in the November 2024 general election by a margin of nearly twenty percentage points.
