Congressman Pat Harrigan has used his social media platform to highlight recent legislative and policy initiatives, as well as to comment on national security and housing issues.

On March 12, 2026, Harrigan discussed the integration of artificial intelligence in military operations. He stated, “As I told @NBCNews, Operation Epic Fury, where our warfighters struck over 2,000 targets with remarkable precision, showed exactly what AI can do when paired with the irreplaceable judgment and experience of the American warfighter. The question is never whether to put these” (March 12, 2026).

Later that day, Harrigan addressed concerns about large financial institutions purchasing residential properties. He wrote, “Wall Street firms are buying up single-family homes at scale and locking families out of the market, and that is exactly the problem my Families First Housing Act was designed to fix. My bill ensures that federally backed homes go to families, nonprofits, and communities FIRST,” (March 12, 2026).

On March 13, 2026, Harrigan turned his attention to international energy security regarding Taiwan. He posted: “Taiwan imports nearly all of its energy, and Beijing knows it. So, I introduced the Taiwan Energy Security and Anti-Embargo Act to take that pressure point off the table. Here’s what it does: Redirects U.S. LNG directly to Taiwan Backs next-generation nuclear power that” (March 13, 2026).

Harrigan represents North Carolina in Congress after defeating Ralph R. Scott Jr. in the 2024 general election with a margin of approximately 57.5% to 38.2%.
