Congressman Pat Harrigan, who represents North Carolina’s 10th congressional district, shared updates on community recognition, public safety discussions, and legislative initiatives in a series of posts on January 28, 2026.
In his first post, Harrigan highlighted the achievements of a local student: “Proud to recognize Roshan Naik of Iredell County as #NC10’s winner of the Congressional App Challenge. His app, Nation Vitals, helps people better understand trends in issues like drug overdoses, suicide, and mental health by breaking the data down at the local, county level.” (January 28, 2026)
Later that day, Harrigan described his meeting with law enforcement officials: “Great to meet with Chief Bryan Adams and the team at the Hickory Police Department this week to hear directly about public safety in the community and the challenges officers are facing day to day. Appreciate their time and the work they do.” (January 28, 2026)
Addressing national concerns about housing affordability for younger Americans, Harrigan also wrote: “For Americans under 40, the housing market is broken, which is why @RepRileyNY and I introduced the Families First Act to protect the middle class without breaking the free market.” (January 28, 2026)
Harrigan was elected to Congress in 2024 after defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr., securing approximately 57.5% of the vote.
