Congressman Pat Harrigan has recently highlighted legislative actions and policy priorities through a series of posts on his official Twitter account. Harrigan, who won the 2024 general election against Ralph R. Scott, Jr. with 57.5% of the vote, addressed topics ranging from voting security to agricultural defense and law enforcement reform.

On February 11, 2026, Harrigan announced the passage of the SAVE Act in the House of Representatives: “.@HouseGOP just passed the SAVE Act for a THIRD time, requiring proof of citizenship to vote. Now it’s on the Senate to bring it to the floor, have the debate, and explain to 8 out of 10 Americans why you won’t protect their ballot box. We did our job, now do yours.”

The following day, February 12, he turned attention to national food security concerns: “If you can disrupt a nation’s food supply, you can destabilize the nation. Bringing our top defense innovators into the fight to protect American agriculture is long overdue.”

Later that same day, Harrigan referenced new legislation aimed at improving outcomes during police encounters: “Too often, tense encounters leave officers with bad choices and irreversible outcomes. I’m happy to report that’s changing now that the Law-Enforcement Innovate to De-Escalate Act has passed the House, a bill I was proud to cosponsor. This legislation expands access to”

Harrigan’s recent public statements come after his victory in North Carolina’s congressional race in 2024 over Ralph R. Scott, Jr., securing nearly 58% of votes cast.
