Congressman Pat Harrigan has recently highlighted federal support for North Carolina communities and engagement with local leaders in a series of posts on social media.
On August 21, 2025, Harrigan announced new federal aid, stating, “Another $96 million is heading to North Carolina to help families recover from Hurricane Helene. After being ignored by the last administration, our communities are finally getting the support they deserve under @POTUS and @Sec_Noem.”
Later that day, he shared details of a meeting with business and community leaders: “Great to sit down in Winston-Salem with @Truliant CEO Todd Hall, local chamber leaders, and business voices from across #NC10. We discussed industry challenges, regional growth, and what it takes to keep our communities competitive.”
On August 22, Harrigan posted about agricultural policy discussions: “I joined farmers and USDA FSA State Director Ron Garrett in Yadkinville to talk through the Farm Bill, the H-2 visa program, and the future of FSA offices. These conversations are critical to making sure federal policy works for the people who feed North Carolina and the”
Harrigan was elected to Congress in 2024 after defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr., securing 57.5% of the vote compared to Scott’s 38.2%.
