Congressman Pat Harrigan, a U.S. Representative, made several statements on social media addressing issues ranging from alleged disinformation campaigns to constituent services and national security concerns.
On July 18, 2025, Harrigan posted a critical message regarding former President Obama’s intelligence officials: “Makes Watergate look like amateur hour. Obama’s intel officials ran a disinformation campaign against the American people to take down a sitting president—this is absolutely disgraceful.”
The following day, Harrigan informed constituents about an upcoming event: “Team Harrigan will be at the Iredell County Government Center NEXT TUESDAY for Mobile Office Hours. 200 S Center St July 22 2–5 PM Stop by if you need help with a federal agency or have questions for our office!” This outreach effort aims to assist residents with federal agency issues and provide direct access to congressional staff.
Later on July 19, Harrigan addressed concerns about Chinese companies operating in the United States: “I joined @NBCNews to make one thing clear: CCP-owned @GNCLiveWell has no place on U.S. military bases. If China is using front companies to gather intel on American troops, we have a responsibility to shut them down—root and stem.” His comments reflect ongoing debates over foreign business operations near sensitive U.S. sites and broader scrutiny of Chinese investment in America.
These statements come amid continued public discussions about election interference, government transparency, and national security risks related to foreign entities.
