Congressman Pat Harrigan, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives who secured his seat in 2024 by defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr. with 57.5% of the vote, has recently commented on national and international affairs through a series of posts on social media.

On August 14, 2025, Harrigan criticized the previous presidential administration, stating: “The Biden-Harris administration was a masterclass in waste and weakness. On @housescience’s Investigations & Oversight Subcommittee, we are exposing their failures and closing the gaps that put our research and taxpayer dollars at risk.”

The following day, Harrigan addressed an ongoing diplomatic event involving President Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin: “Praying for @POTUS as he meets with Putin in Alaska today. May this meeting bring the world closer to peace.” (August 15, 2025)

Also on August 15, 2025, Harrigan reflected on the anniversary of Kabul’s fall to the Taliban: “Four years ago, Kabul fell to the Taliban—a direct result of Biden’s weakness. That surrender emboldened China, Russia, Iran, and every enemy watching. Peace is only possible through American strength, and we can never afford to project anything less.”

Harrigan serves on the House Science Committee’s Investigations & Oversight Subcommittee. His recent remarks follow his electoral victory in 2024 over Ralph R. Scott, Jr., where he garnered more than half of the votes cast.
