Congressman Pat Harrigan, who secured his seat in the 2024 general election by defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr., addressed several pressing issues in a series of posts on October 7, 2025.

In a post reflecting on events from two years prior, Harrigan stated, “Two years ago, Hamas showed the world evil in its purest form. Financed by Tehran and fueled by hatred for Israel, America, and the West, they murdered the innocent and celebrated it. That evil must never be allowed to rise again.” (October 7, 2025)

Later that day, he commented on the ongoing government shutdown and public opinion regarding its resolution: “70% of Americans oppose the shutdown. 65% say Democrats should accept the clean, bipartisan CR. The message is clear: end the shutdown, stop the games, and get back to work.” (October 7, 2025)

Addressing national security concerns based on his personal experiences in combat, Harrigan wrote: “I’ve seen in combat what happens when leaders choose appeasement over strength. The price is always measured in lives, and it’s always paid by the innocent. Europe’s open borders and weak immigration policies have left families defenseless. America must never follow their path.” (October 7, 2025)

Harrigan’s remarks come as he serves as a U.S. Congressman following his victory over Ralph R. Scott, Jr., where he won with 57.5% of the vote to Scott’s 38.2% in 2024.
