Congressman Pat Harrigan has used his social media platform to comment on recent national and international developments, addressing issues from foreign policy to domestic fuel prices and advances in space technology.

On August 26, 2025, Harrigan criticized the Biden administration’s handling of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, stating, “The disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan proved what happens when America shows weakness. Biden failed to lead, and the result has been war and chaos across the world.”

Later that day, Harrigan shifted focus to domestic matters by acknowledging a decrease in gas prices over the summer. In a post dated August 27, 2025, he wrote, “All summer long, Americans have paid less at the pump. Thank you, @POTUS!”

In another post on August 27, 2025, Harrigan congratulated Elon Musk and SpaceX following Starship Flight 10’s first payload deployment. He stated: “Congrats to @elonmusk and the @SpaceX team on Starship Flight 10 and its FIRST payload deployment. This marks a major step toward fully reusable spaceflight.”

Pat Harrigan secured his congressional seat after defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr. in the 2024 general election with 57.5% of the vote.
