Congressman Pat Harrigan, a former Special Forces officer and West Point graduate, has recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative action on the electric grid and express support for his alma mater. On December 11, 2025, Harrigan announced his vote in favor of the Electric Supply Chain Act, citing concerns over vulnerabilities in the nation’s energy infrastructure.

In a post dated December 11, 2025, Harrigan stated: “Just voted to pass the Electric Supply Chain Act because right now we have no idea where the weak points in our electric grid actually are. Demand is about to surge, major power sources are going offline, and we’re dependent on China for materials we can’t even track.”

The following day, December 12, he shared a link without additional comment: “https://t.co/6bTV6HNwQX”.

On December 13, Harrigan referenced his military background while expressing support for Army’s football team ahead of their game against Navy: “Four years at @WestPoint_USMA and a career in Special Forces make my choice today pretty simple… Go Army. Beat Navy.”

Harrigan secured his seat in Congress by defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr. in the 2024 general election with 57.5% of the vote compared to Scott’s 38.2%. This electoral victory established him as a key voice on issues relating to national security and infrastructure.
