Congressman Pat Harrigan, who won his seat in 2024 by defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr., has used his social media platform to comment on national security and domestic policy issues in recent days.

On December 30, 2025, Harrigan stated: “Just to be clear, the CCP is not our friend.”

In a post dated January 1, 2026, he wrote: “New year. Same mission. Put America first, secure the border, rebuild our economy, and stand up for working families.

Let’s make this a year of strength, accountability, AND results. “

The following day, January 2, 2026, Harrigan addressed concerns about security threats and praised law enforcement agencies: “This is exactly the kind of threat people worry about, and why security and enforcement can’t be treated casually.

Credit to @FBICharlotte and local law enforcement for catching it early and stopping it cold.”

Harrigan assumed office after winning the general election in 2024 with 57.5% of the vote against Ralph R. Scott, Jr., reflecting significant support from his constituency.
