Congressman Pat Harrigan has used his social media platform to address a range of issues, from taxpayer spending to public safety and constituent outreach. The posts, made on February 17, 2026, highlight both policy positions and upcoming opportunities for local engagement.

On February 17, 2026, Harrigan reiterated his stance on the use of public funds with a post stating, “Glad to see @townhallcom highlight what I’ve been saying: American taxpayers should not be bankrolling illegal immigrants’ businesses. If it’s taxpayer money, it should serve American citizens. End of story.”

Later that day, he announced an event for constituents in Iredell County: “Team Harrigan is coming to Iredell County for mobile office hours. We’ll be on hand to help with casework, answer questions, and assist with navigating federal agencies. Stop by and let us know how we can help!” (February 17, 2026).

Addressing transportation safety concerns in another post on the same date, Harrigan cited recent enforcement actions: “Nearly 2,000 unqualified drivers and unsafe trucks were pulled off the road in three days during Operation SafeDRIVE. As I told @CarolinaJournal, I think about my wife driving our girls to school and sharing the highway with this: Nearly 500 drivers who couldn’t pass basic”.

Pat Harrigan was elected to Congress after defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr. in the 2024 general election by securing approximately 57.5% of the vote compared to Scott’s 38.2%.
