Congressman Pat Harrigan has recently used his social media platform to address issues ranging from road safety and law enforcement to government accountability. Harrigan, who won the 2024 general election against Ralph R. Scott, Jr. with 57.5% of the vote, made several statements on X (formerly Twitter) over February 10 and 11, 2026.

On February 10, Harrigan expressed concern about commercial driver licensing standards: “It’s honestly unbelievable how often this keeps happening. People are just trying to get home safely, and they’re sharing the road with drivers who never should’ve had a CDL in the first place.

That’s why I introduced the SAFE Drivers Act, to require a real English proficiency” (February 10, 2026).

Later that day, he commented on legal consequences for obstructing federal authorities: “Worth remembering: interfering with federal law enforcement carries felony consequences.” (February 10, 2026).

The following day, Harrigan criticized government inefficiency regarding financial oversight: “The state of our government is so broken that it took @POTUS and Republicans to stop sending checks to dead people.

What should be basic accountability now feels like a reform movement.” (February 11, 2026).

Harrigan’s recent public comments follow his electoral victory in North Carolina’s congressional race in November 2024, where he secured a decisive win over Ralph R. Scott, Jr., receiving nearly three-fifths of the vote.
