Congressman Pat Harrigan, who secured his seat in the 2024 general election by defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr. with 57.5% of the vote, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing a range of political and personal topics.
On October 11, 2025, Harrigan marked the one-month anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s absence, acknowledging Kirk’s impact on conservative activism. In his post, Harrigan stated, “One month without Charlie Kirk. The movement he built isn’t going anywhere, the principles he fought for aren’t negotiable, and the generation he inspired isn’t backing down. We’ve still got it from here, Charlie.”
Two days later, on October 13, 2025, Harrigan commented on the return of Israeli hostages and credited former President Trump for their release. He wrote, “After 738 days, every living Israeli hostage has returned home. President Trump achieved in months what two years of negotiations could not because he understood a simple truth: strength delivers results where diplomacy alone fails. Welcome home.”
On October 14, 2025, Harrigan shared a personal encounter with the family of a crime victim. He posted, “I sat face-to-face with Mary Collins’s grandmother. I listened as she courageously shared the heartbreaking story of her granddaughter’s brutal murder. As a father of two daughters, I was shaken to my core. Her pain is unimaginable and her strength is something I’ll never forget.”
Harrigan’s recent posts reflect his ongoing engagement with both national issues and individual stories within his constituency. His electoral victory in 2024 over Ralph R. Scott, Jr., where he won by a margin of nearly 20 percentage points, established his current position in Congress.
