Congressman Pat Harrigan has used his social media platform to address issues of national security, energy vulnerability, and legislative initiatives in the U.S. House of Representatives.
On March 13, 2026, Harrigan highlighted concerns regarding Taiwan’s strategic weaknesses and their implications for global security. He stated, “Beijing knows exactly where Taiwan is weakest, and global events today make clear that energy vulnerability is national security vulnerability. My Taiwan Energy Security and Anti-Embargo Act hardens that weak point before our adversaries can exploit it.”
Later that day, he commented on efforts within Congress to address terrorism-related issues among naturalized citizens. Harrigan wrote on March 13, 2026: “I’m leading this charge in the House and I’m proud to be working alongside @SenTedCruz to get it done. When you come to this country, earn citizenship, and then turn around and commit or support terrorism against the very people who welcomed you, you have forfeited your right to”
On March 16, 2026, Harrigan reflected on lessons learned from past military conflicts regarding insider threats. He shared: “The insider attacks we saw in Iraq and Afghanistan showed how deadly failed vetting can be. During my time in Special Forces, I saw firsthand how the right technology can save lives and give our forces a decisive edge. Congress should always be looking closely at tools that”
Pat Harrigan was elected to Congress after defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr. in the 2024 general election with 57.5% of the vote compared to Scott’s 38.2%.
