Congressman Pat Harrigan has recently addressed a range of legislative priorities and initiatives through several posts on his social media account. Harrigan, who won the 2024 general election against Ralph R. Scott, Jr., continues to highlight issues from transportation policy to national security and educational opportunities.

On March 17, 2026, Harrigan posted about longstanding problems in commercial driver licensing and expressed support for recent federal action: “It’s hard to overstate how long this problem has been ignored. The Trump administration is right to act, and my SAFE Drivers Act would make sure it never gets this bad again by requiring a uniform English proficiency test before any CDL is ever issued.”

The following day, March 18, 2026, Harrigan discussed efforts to address foreign influence in the United States. He wrote: “The first step to winning a fight is knowing exactly what you’re up against. Today I joined forces with @RepDerekTranCA, @RepDonBacon, and @RepStricklandWA to co-lead the Combating Chinese Communist Party Influence Act, forcing a comprehensive intelligence assessment of CCP”.

Later on March 18, he encouraged constituents interested in military service academies: “If serving your country at a U.S. Service Academy interests you, applications open in May. Visit my website to learn more:”

Harrigan’s recent activity follows his electoral victory in 2024 when he secured approximately 57.5% of the vote against Ralph R. Scott, Jr., reflecting his continued engagement with legislative matters and constituent outreach.
