Congressman Pat Harrigan, who won the 2024 general election against Ralph R. Scott, Jr., has recently used his social media platform to comment on U.S. military advancements, international sanctions, and domestic political discourse.

On August 28, 2025, Harrigan addressed the evolving landscape of modern warfare in a post stating, “Drones have become the weapon of choice for our enemies. With @SecDef and @SecArmy driving Task Force 401, America won’t just defend the skies, we’ll own them.” This statement referenced ongoing efforts by U.S. defense officials to enhance American capabilities in aerial security.

Later that same day, Harrigan commented on recent actions taken by European allies regarding Iran: “I applaud our European allies for triggering snapback sanctions on Iran. Strength is the only language the ayatollahs understand, and this move starves their terror network while tightening the vise on their nuclear ambitions.” His remarks highlighted support for measures intended to limit Iran’s ability to fund terrorism and advance its nuclear program.

In a separate post dated August 29, 2025, Harrigan criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom’s statements about faith: “What @GavinNewsom tweeted isn’t just offensive, it’s a direct slap in the face to every American who believes in the power of prayer. Mocking faith isn’t edgy, it’s cowardly. And it shows just how far the radical Left has fallen. They used to sneer at people of faith behind”

Harrigan was elected as a U.S. Congressman after defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr. in 2024 with approximately 57.5% of the vote compared to Scott’s 38.2%. His public comments often reflect his positions on national security issues and social values.
