Congressman Pat Harrigan, who won his seat in 2024 by defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr. with 57.5% of the vote, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing national security, law enforcement, and recognition for military service.

On February 25, 2026, Harrigan criticized Democratic lawmakers’ response to crime victims in a post: “Too many Democrats will defend criminals before they’ll ever defend innocent victims, and tonight, the entire nation saw exactly that.

No words, no standing, nothing. Says everything you need to know about where their priorities lie.

We will never forget Iryna.” (posted February 25, 2026)

Later that evening, Harrigan expressed appreciation for President Biden’s role in honoring Royce Williams: “Thanks to @POTUS, a 100-year-old American hero, Royce Williams, finally received the Medal of Honor he deserved decades ago, right here in front of me tonight.

He took on 7 Soviet pilots, ALONE, and won.

God bless you, Sir, and God bless America!” (posted February 25, 2026)

The following day Harrigan addressed federal law regarding law enforcement eligibility: “Here is a concept some people apparently find controversial: you should have to follow the law before you get to enforce it. Right now, a quirk in federal law allows illegal immigrants to carry government-issued firearms as sworn police officers.

Proud to cosponsor the Stop” (posted February 25, 2026)

Pat Harrigan serves as a U.S. Congressman after winning his election against Ralph R. Scott Jr., securing more than half of the vote share in the general election held in 2024.
