Congressman Pat Harrigan, a U.S. Representative who won his seat in 2024 by defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr., addressed several issues related to foreign policy, military support, and environmental legislation in a series of posts on April 16, 2026.

In his first post of the day, Harrigan commented on China’s role in international conflicts. He wrote: “China is not a neutral party in this conflict and never has been. They are funding Iran, shielding Iran diplomatically, and apparently now providing the targeting data that puts American lives at risk. At what point do we stop pretending otherwise?” (April 16, 2026).

Later that day, Harrigan highlighted U.S. military production and its impact on global security efforts: “American built, Ukrainian battle tested, 13,000 units deployed, and getting cheaper. To be successful in any conflict, you must first win the economics of war. @SecArmy gets it.” (April 16, 2026).

In a third post focused on domestic policy and environmental regulation, Harrigan stated: “American workers and businesses doing everything right should not be punished by Washington for pollution crossing our borders. The FENCES Act fixes that, and I was proud to vote for the bipartisan bill today.” (April 16, 2026).

Harrigan’s comments come as he continues his tenure following his victory over Ralph R. Scott, Jr., where he secured approximately 57.5% of the vote in the general election.
