In a post dated September 18, 2025, Harrigan commented on the assassination of Charlie Kirk, stating: “Charlie Kirk was assassinated because our culture is rotting. One young man is gone, another threw his life away, and an entire generation is being poisoned by the glorification of hate and violence. That should make every American furious!”
Later that day, Harrigan posted about the boundaries of free speech in relation to recent events: “Free speech protects you from the government, NOT from consequences. Anyone entrusted with shaping young Americans who cheers an assassination has NO place in the classroom.” This statement appeared to address reactions within educational environments following the incident.
In a separate post earlier that morning, Harrigan discussed his meeting with industry representatives: “This morning I was with the American Wire Producers Association here in Washington. We talked about tariffs, free trade, and what it means for American manufacturing. These folks really are the backbone of the country, and I’m going to keep pushing to make sure they’ve got a”
