On Thursday, March 19, John Holbrook, a former Hickory High School basketball standout, competed with his current college team, the North Carolina Tar Heels, who were defeated 82-78 by the VCU Rams in NCAA Tournament action.
The contest tipped off at 6:50 p.m. at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
These former City of Hickory area high school standouts are scheduled to compete the week starting Monday, May 4.
One running event is scheduled to take place in the city of Hickory during the week ending May 8, offering an opportunity for adults to compete, stay active, and take part in organized races.
