Newton-Conover City Schools announced on March 24 that its Child Nutrition Department is accepting Requests for Quotes for ice cream products for the 2026-27 school year.

The district said all ice cream products must meet United States Department of Agriculture Smart Snack guidelines. The deadline to submit quotes is Friday, April 24, 2026.

This request aims to ensure students have access to snacks that align with federal nutrition standards. The USDA Smart Snack guidelines set requirements on calories, sugar, fat, and sodium content in foods sold at schools.

Interested vendors are encouraged to review the nutritional criteria before submitting their proposals. All submissions must be received by the specified deadline to be considered.
