Newton-Conover City Schools announced on March 24 that its Child Nutrition Department is accepting Requests for Proposals to supply chemical and warewashing products and services for school cafeterias during the 2026-2027 academic year.

The process is intended to ensure that cafeterias are equipped with necessary cleaning materials and services, which are essential for maintaining food safety standards in schools.

According to the announcement, interested vendors can submit questions or note discrepancies until April 10. All proposals must be submitted by April 24 at 10:55 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, with a public bid opening scheduled at 11:00 a.m. the same day. Notification of intent to award contracts will be sent in May after approval from the Board.

This timeline provides potential suppliers with several weeks to prepare their bids and clarify any uncertainties about requirements before submission deadlines.

The district said these steps aim to maintain transparency throughout the procurement process while meeting operational needs ahead of the next school year.
