At 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears, featuring former Alexander Central High School standout Faith Carrigan, recorded a 4-0 win over the Barton Bulldogs in NCAA Division II softball.
The matchup was held at Jeffries Field and marked the teams’ second meeting this season. In their prior contest on Wednesday, Feb. 25, the Bears secured a 9-0 victory.
Carrigan delivered seven shutout innings with eight strikeouts.
Up next, the Bears will face the Southern Wesleyan Warriors at Shena Hollar Softball Camps on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m.
