Former Alexander Central High School player JD Little contributed to the Wingate Bulldogs’ 9-6 victory over the Tusculum Pioneers in an NCAA Division II baseball contest at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Ron Christopher Stadium was the setting for the meeting, which was the second time the Bulldogs faced the Pioneers this season. The teams’ previous matchup occurred on Friday, Feb. 27, where the Bulldogs earned an 11-0 win.
Little pitched 3.2 innings, surrendering two earned runs, walking four and striking out three batters.
The Bulldogs’ upcoming game is set for 4 p.m. on Friday, March 6, at Burchell Stallard Baseball Field, where they will take on the UVA Wise Cavaliers.
