Frye Regional Medical Center will host an open house on March 16 to mark the launch of its new Imaging Center at Frye Regional HealthPark in Lenoir. The event, scheduled from 4:30 to 6 p.m., invites local residents to tour the facility, meet staff members, and learn about the imaging services now available in Caldwell County.

Located at 1041 Morganton Blvd. SW, the new Frye Regional Imaging Center – Lenoir represents a $3.5 million investment aimed at improving access to healthcare for area residents. The center is intended to support faster diagnoses and enhance care for patients who previously may have needed to travel further for such services.

“Health care should be easy to reach and focused on the people we serve,” said Philip Greene, MD, chief executive officer of Frye Regional Medical Center. “This Imaging Center helps families in surrounding communities get the care they need without traveling far from home.”

The Imaging Center provides a range of outpatient imaging services including MRI, CT scans, mammography, DEXA (bone density), ultrasound, and X-ray. These tools assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical issues more efficiently.

A notable feature is the addition of a 3D mammography system that produces clear breast images using a low dose of radiation. The technology also allows women some control over breast compression during exams. The center offers updated systems for bone density testing and body composition analysis as well as comprehensive ultrasound services covering general health needs along with vascular, OB/GYN, and structural imaging.

Patients can take advantage of same-day appointments or walk-in options, with coordinated care between imaging specialists and referring doctors.

Since opening in 2022, Frye Regional HealthPark has provided various outpatient services across its 25,000-square-foot campus. These include cardiology, family medicine, orthopedics and neurosurgery, pain management and women’s health programs. Additionally, Frye Regional Piedmont Therapy delivers occupational therapy alongside physical and speech therapy for conditions ranging from sports injuries to neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease.
