County of Burke issued the following announcement on Feb. 1.
The Burke County Board of Commissioners is seeking local pastors, preachers, fathers, rabbis, and other heads of religious organizations to participate in regular board meetings by opening the proceedings with an invocation.
The Board meets at 6:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month (except for Feb. 2023) in the County Board Room, Burke Co. Services Building, 110 N. Green Street, Entrance E, in Morganton.
The meeting dates that still need someone to deliver the invocation are:
June 20, 2023July 18, 2023
