COUNTY OF BURKE: Notice Of Public Hearing – Schedule Of Values And The Present Use Schedule Of Values

County of Burke issued the following announcement on Sept. 10.

The Burke County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Sept. 20, 2022, at 6 p.m. or as soon as persons may be heard, in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room, Burke Services Building, Door E, 110 N. Green St., in Morganton, NC.  The purpose of the hearing is to receive comments on the proposed Schedule of Values and the Present Use Schedule of Values that will be used in the 2023 tax revaluation project. Both schedules are available for public inspection on the County’s website, www.burkenc.org and at the Tax Office, 110 N. Green St., in Morganton, NC, during regular business hours, M-F, 8 am to 5 pm. Copies are also available for public inspection at the libraries and senior centers during their regular operating hours.  

Questions about the proposed Schedule of Values and the Present Use Schedule of Values may be directed to the Tax Department at 828.764.9430.  If reasonable ADA accommodations are needed to participate in the hearing, please contact the County Manager’s office at 828-764-9350 by Sept. 16th.
