Congressman Pat Harrigan, known for his active engagement on social media, recently shared his views on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. His posts address topics ranging from federal government actions to restore fairness in women’s athletics to concerns about Chinese ownership in American companies operating on military bases.
On July 9, 2025, Congressman Harrigan expressed support for the President’s actions against California’s educational policies. He stated, “As the father of two girls, I applaud @POTUS for standing up to @CAgovernor and California’s Department of Education over policies that rob young women of their athletic opportunities.” He emphasized the necessity of federal intervention by noting, “The fact that the federal government must take legal action to restore basic fairness shows.”
In a tweet dated July 10, 2025, Congressman Harrigan provided an update regarding Chinese influence within U.S. military bases. He mentioned the introduction of the Military Retail Security Act in April and highlighted findings by Exiger, a firm specializing in fraud and financial crime. According to Harrigan, “Exiger—a top fraud and financial crime firm—confirmed that CCP-owned @GNCLiveWell has been misleading the American public.”
Later on July 10, he further elaborated on these claims by stating that GNC was selling products labeled as “Made in America” which were actually made with Chinese ingredients. He expressed concern over this practice occurring on U.S. military bases by tweeting, “Not only is @GNCLiveWell owned by the Chinese Communist Party, they’ve been selling ‘Made in America’ supplements made with Chinese ingredients on U.S. military bases.” Congressman Harrigan concluded with a call to action: “Our troops risk everything for this country, the least we can do is keep the CCP out!”
